🚀 The Big 10: Games I'm Most Excited About
Persona 3 Reload Release Date: October 23, 2025
Pre-order: Amazon
🎮 What It’s About:A remake of the 2006 classic JRPG. You play as a high school student who joins a secret group fighting creatures called Shadows during the mysterious "Dark Hour"—a hidden time between midnight and the next day. You balance school life, socializing, and dungeon crawling. Think emotional story + stylish turn-based combat + cool anime vibes.
🕹 Why I’m Hyped:Persona 5 was my first game in the series and I LOVED it. I replayed it just to see every outcome—so I know this one will be just as addictive.
Borderlands 4
Release Date: October 3, 2025
Pre-order: Amazon
🎮 What It’s About:A fast-paced, loot-driven first-person shooter set in a chaotic sci-fi universe. You play as one of several unique Vault Hunters, each with crazy abilities, while battling outlaws, monsters, and robots. You collect wild guns, level up, and play solo or in co-op.
🕹 Why I’m Hyped:I played Borderlands 3 and had a blast. It’s chaotic, funny, and the gameplay is addictive—super excited it’s coming to the Switch 2!
Star Wars Outlaws
Release Date: September 4, 2025
Pre-order: Amazon
🎮 What It’s About:An open-world Star Wars game set between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. You play as Kay Vess, a scoundrel trying to pull off galaxy-wide heists. Ride your speeder across planets, sneak through crime bases, and shoot your way out of danger.
🕹 Why I’m Hyped:Big Star Wars fan here—and this game reminds me of Outer Worlds, Jedi Survivor, and even a bit of Fallout 4.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment
Release Window: Winter 2025
🎮 What It’s About:A Zelda spin-off that mixes hack-and-slash combat with epic story. You play as familiar Hyrule characters and fight massive armies in fast-paced battles. This one takes place before Tears of the Kingdom, expanding the Zelda lore with new perspectives.
🕹 Why I’m Hyped:I’ve played all the Hyrule Warriors games. The combat gets repetitive, sure, but the stories are always worth it—and this one connects to TOTK!
Cronos: The New Dawn
Release Date: September 5, 2025
🎮 What It’s About:A sci-fi survival horror game in space. You're isolated, alone, and surrounded by terrifying creatures as you explore a derelict space facility. Expect creepy sounds, flashlight panic, and tight corridors.
🕹 Why I’m Hyped:It gives serious Dead Space vibes—and as someone who travels a lot, I love that I can play horror games like this on the go. Fingers crossed for Silent Hill on Switch 2 someday!
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero
Release Date: November 14, 2025
Pre-order:
🎮 What It’s About:A 3D arena fighting game with a massive cast of Dragon Ball characters. You can relive iconic battles, unleash insane super moves, and fight in destructible environments with flashy animations.
🕹 Why I’m Hyped:Not a huge DBZ player usually, but this one looks amazing—and since both versions cost the same, may as well get the Switch 2 one!
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
Release Window: 2026
🎮 What It’s About:A turn-based RPG spin-off of the Monster Hunter series. Instead of hunting monsters, you raise them and battle other Riders. It has anime-style graphics, a touching story, and strategic combat.
🕹 Why I’m Hyped:I played Monster Hunter Stories 2 nonstop—collected monsters, and I was so into it I even downloaded an app to strategized the battles better. This one looks like an upgrade in every way.
Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac
Release Date: September 26, 2025
Pre-order: Amazon
🎮 What It’s About:A remastered version of the PS2-era 3D platformer. Pac-Man explores colorful levels, avoids ghosts, and solves puzzles to rescue his family. Platforming fun for all ages.
🕹 Why I’m Hyped:I played this when I was younger and it was so much fun. Seeing it come back with better graphics is a total win for my nostalgia.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales
Release Date: 2026 (Free demo available on Switch now)
🎮 What It’s About:A retro-style RPG with modern visuals. You play as Elliot, traveling through time and dimensions with his fairy sidekick to uncover a deep mystery. HD-2D fans (like Octopath or Triangle Strategy) will love this.
🕹 Why I’m Hyped:It’s not my usual graphic style, but I played the demo and it gave me old-school Zelda vibes. Definitely curious to play more.
Just Dance 2026
Release Date: October 14, 2025
🎮 What It’s About:The latest in Ubisoft’s hit dance series. Features new songs, party modes, improved motion detection, and full Switch 2 support. Great for solo fitness or fun with friends.
🕹 Why I’m Hyped:I’m no pro dancer, but I saw APT by Rosé and Bruno Mars on the list and lost it 😂. This game is just plain fun—and great cardio too.
🧠 Final Thoughts
Whew—so many exciting titles coming soon! My top three are definitely Persona 3 Reload, Borderlands 4, and Star Wars Outlaws, but honestly, I want to play them all. I usually take my time finishing one game at a time, but my Switch 2 backlog is already piling up!
